Week Five: Hero and Detail Shot

Hero and Detail Shots Hero Shot Detail Shot The above Hero shot shows the main facade of the building, and highlights the many exterior forms which accentuate the comforting atmosphere. The perspective shot draws large attention to the use of curves which aim to evoke similarities to the relaxed posture of chairs and the softness of blankets. Along with these curves, the pastel colour scheme inspired by BernabeiFreeman's works add to the cosiness. The Detail shot also highlights the recurring curved features but focuses on the interior space. The notion of curves is continued in the ceiling of the top floor where it maintains a smooth and flowing aesthetic. Another significant aspect shown is the transparency of the room, allowing the entrance of natural light into the workplace, and thus further connecting the brand's work with nature.

Experiment Two: Plan and Progress Model

PLAN INSPIRATION The plan I have chosen from the document is Piranesi's circular building. From this, I adapted it into the ground floor plan on my building, as well as modifying the size to fit the context. ADAPTATION The adapted plan kept the symmetry shown in the original but was changed to accommodate three passages as opposed to four. MODEL PROGRESS
