Experiment Two: Final Submission

HERO & DETAIL SHOTS Render Image 1: Wide Span Hero Shot Render Image 2: Lobby of Central Hub Render Image 3: Detail Shot of Roof Design The design depicts a personal concept of a school of Engineering built in UNSW. It follows the theory that one inherently possesses a desire of upward movement, an ideal exhibited in nature through a plants desire for sunlight. In order to depict upward movement, the bridges meet at a central elevated hub which further expands upward. Additionally, the design of the central hub is inspired from the earlier Engineering article, resembling a plant’s bulb and thus synthesising nature with technology. Experiment Two: Plan and Progress Model

PLAN INSPIRATION The plan I have chosen from the document is Piranesi's circular building. From this, I adapted it into the ground floor plan on my building, as well as modifying the size to fit the context. ADAPTATION The adapted plan kept the symmetry shown in the original but was changed to accommodate three passages as opposed to four. MODEL PROGRESS

"Glowing, Toxin-Detecting Plants Are The Green Engineering Of The Future".  The Verge . https://www.theverge.com/2019/4/3/18292684/plant-nanobionics-chemical-engineering-light-plant. The chosen article detailed innovations in Engineering through revisiting the natural function of plants and adapting them into technology. CHOSEN WORDS:  innovations  starting point trajectory SENTENCE: Movement, alike technological innovations have a pattern of upward trajectory, whilst also remaining faithful to the starting point.
