INTRODUCTION Designed for my ENGG1000 project, the oscillating wave chamber would be my most creative piece of work, although unconventional. The model allowed for regular and consistent bursts airflow out of the blowhole above by utilising the changing water levels of incoming waves. This is achieved through the oscillating pattern of sealing and opening the entrance. Thus, the model aims to replicate the mechanism of wave-powered generators on a smaller scale. Taken on a pier at Coffs Harbour during a family road trip, the photograph highlights the beauty of the local Australian landscape. The salient image, the glow of the sunlight adds a comforting and hopeful atmosphere, and thus creating a somewhat angelic setting.
